The two names of Villas Aladamos and Erontas became from the name of two local flowers.
Labdanum (Aladanos) is a sticky brown resin obtained from the shrubs Cistus ladanifer, species of rockrose. It has a long history of use in herbal medicine and as a perfume ingedient. A product that you produce only in the Sises Rethimno Crete.
Origanum Dicatmus herb (Erontas) is perhaps the most erotic, but at the same time and most dangerous as for its collection after it sprouts in steep rocks and abrupt mountainsides.
